ITS GETTING HOT IN PORTLAND AND THE WEATHER IS WARMING UP TO

overheating121902

Have you noticed that the traffic in Portland is getting REALLY bad? One of the main contributors is broken down vehicles that cause not only delays but accidents as well.

The weather is getting HOT…while we would love for you to go out and buy a new car , we’d rather you get home safely in your own car first. We contacted our resident expert, Bryan Sochia at Certified Auto Repair in Salem, Oregon, http://carsalem.com/ here are some simple summer maintenance tips for your vehicle:

  1. Flush your coolant system…it can get clogged up and coolant can break down which could cause you to overheat on that I5 commute.
  2. Change your oil…. Obvious, right? Well, it does get overlooked and is critical to your vehicles performance.
  3. Recharge your AC!…This is more for your comfort but nothing is worse than getting stuck in traffic on a 90 degree day and finding out that your AC blows (hot air that is)
  4. Check all your fluids
  5. Check the tire pressure…under inflated tires contributes more to poor fuel economy than any other maintenance item. If you need to swap them out then contact a tire change provider.

If you have any maintenance questions, shoot us a note and we will get our team to assist.
